Bring Back the Personality

Remember when the characters had really colorful personalities? Their distinct personalities really added to the depth of each character, and made them real individuals. They were just really believable characters. Sonic was a cocky hero, but a strong defender of justice. Tails was a smart technological kid, but was kind and very humble about his intelligence. Knuckles was the strong, dutiful guardian of the Master Emerald and although gullible and hot-tempered, he had times where he was calm, collected and even witty (especially in S3&K!). Amy was a fangirl of Sonic's but not mindless, as she's gone up against Sonic in order to save Gamma, an enemy robot!

These characters were multi-dimensional. They had depth!

But nowadays.....Sonic and the others have all been reduced to one-dimensional personas. Sonic is the cocky jock. Tails is the typical techie guy that spouts out plot exposition. Knuckles is the dumb muscle. Amy is the psychotic fangirl. Heck, even Eggman has been reduced from an evil, conniving genius to a clown that Sonic barely takes seriously. It's very saddening to see these great characters who once had so much potential to be expanded on crumble into cliches. Sega needs to bring back these characters' greatness and potential! Bring back their old, multi-dimensional personalities!
